Cocopeat Grow Bags and Slabs

Cocopeat Grow Bags and Slabs

CocoX grow bags and slabs are compressed coir substrates prepared for professional greenhouse and soilless production. By adjusting the balance of pith, chips and fibre, the slab can be matched to crop duration, irrigation frequency, container geometry and the grower’s preferred dry-back strategy.

Tomato plants grown in cocopeat substrate in a greenhouse

Key Benefits

  • Ready-to-hydrate format for commercial greenhouse rows
  • Custom air-to-water balance through controlled particle composition
  • Washed and optionally buffered substrate programs
  • Planting and drainage holes can be configured to project requirements
  • UV-stabilized bag-film and printing options available subject to order

Typical Product Specifications

The values below are reference ranges commonly used in the horticultural coir market. Final specifications, tolerances and test methods are confirmed for each CocoX quotation and order.

Common hydrated slab sizes 100 x 15 x 10 cm and 100 x 20 x 10-15 cm; other sizes available
Substrate Coco pith, coco chips and/or short fibre blends
EC Low EC target commonly below 0.5-0.8 mS/cm, depending on test method and crop specification
pH Typically 5.5-6.5
Treatment Washed; calcium buffering available
Bag configuration Custom planting holes, dripper holes, drainage positions and print

Recommended Applications

Typical crops include tomato, cucumber, sweet pepper, strawberry, cut flowers and selected berry systems. Slab volume and blend should be confirmed from plant density, crop cycle, climate and irrigation design rather than selected by dimensions alone.

Quality and Specification Notes

For project quotations, CocoX recommends confirming hydrated volume, dry weight, particle distribution, EC method, buffering status, bag-film specification and hole layout in one approved product sheet.

Built for Professional Growers

CocoX combines Thai coconut-coir resources with controlled washing, screening, drying and blending options. We work with growers, distributors and substrate manufacturers to define a product that fits the intended crop and supply chain rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all grade.

For an accurate proposal, send us your crop, destination country, required volume, preferred format, target EC and pH, particle-size requirement, buffering preference and packaging details.
